Michael VijverbergDirectorEducated in the Netherlands, Michael spent his whole career in Chemical distribution. After management jobs for Holland Chemicals International in Venezuela, Canada and the Netherlands, Michael was appointed as MD of Crest Chemicals, one of the larger distributors of South Africa in 2000. Michael left Crest in 2013 to set up Impact Chemicals, where he was joined in 2014 by a number of previous colleagues.
Caroline Josten Caroline joined the Chemical Industry in 2006 with a key focus on sales. The last four years Caroline narrowed her sales career into Pharmaceutical and Personal Care divisions. Caroline is now part of the Impact Chemicals Pharmaceutical and Personal Care team.
Liz Hahn After studying towards a national diploma in Microbiology, Liz moved to the UK and joined the Pharmaceutical industry in 1993 as a technical sales specialist for a multi-national company. After her return to South Africa she joined the Chemical industry in 2004, where she has been involved in raw material supply and technical support to the Personal Care and Pharmaceutical industries. Liz obtained her diploma in Cosmetic Science in 2006 and also lectures for the Council of Cosmetic Chemists in the area of Microbial Quality Management.
Karen Havercroft Karen serves as an account manager selling our products to leading companies within the food industry. She grew up in Zimbabwe and studied BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology at Rhodes University, Grahamstown. Having gained experience in Europe marketing pharmaceuticals, Karen returned to South Africa where she has spent over a decade within the chemical and food industry before joining Impact Chemicals.
Andre Nortier Andre has been involved in the Chemical Industry since 1994, working in a number of areas. The first ten years Andre spent in sales after which he transferred to Purchasing and later became Sales Manager at one of the larger distributors in South Africa. Andre joined Impact Chemicals in 2014 splitting his time between the Industrial and Food divisions.
Gerbre Barnard After qualifying in ND Analytical Chemistry Gerbre gained 18 years of experience in the Chemical Industry as a sales representative, product manager, sales manager and business manager. Having joined Impact Chemicals from the beginning Gerbre is part of the Industrial Chemicals team.
Adrienne de Wet Adrienne has been active in the Chemical industry since 1985. Her first years were spent in sales, whereas the last 15 years were dedicated to Purchasing, Business Management and Product Management. In 2014 Adrienne reenforced the Industrial Chemicals team at Impact Chemicals.
Maryn Folkus Maryn has been the a key player in the Chemical Industry for over 20 years. Her main expertise has been in the logistics and sales of liquid bulk raw materials. In 2016 Maryn joined the Impact Chemicals team, where she is responsible for distribution of bulk Acids and Alkali.
Colin Marais Colin has spent his entire working career in the chemicals industry and has served in numerous roles. Starting his career in a large industrial laboratory environment he progressed to business development, marketing and sales and recently international chemical trading with focus on the mining industry of Central Africa.
Gavin van der Merwe Gavin’s been in the Chemical transport & logistics industry for 15 years. He has a sound knowledge of the food & chemicals industry, with his main expertise in the logistics of bulk raw materials. Based in Stellenbosch, Gavin looks after most of our customers in the Western Cape.
Mike Josten Mike studied mechanical engineering and worked in the chemicals industry as a design engineer and project manager. For the past 11 years, Mike has been involved in the Chemicals industry and has extensive experience in mining and commodity type chemicals. His emphasis has evolved from a purely technical focus to the incorporation of sales and marketing into his portfolio. Mike handles much of the cross border business in conjunction with his colleagues in the bulk trading division of Impact Chemicals.
Mukesh Bechan Mukesh has been involved in the chemical industry for 26 years, with experience in servicing the refineries, automotive, detergent, textile and coatings. Having joined Impact Chemicals, Mukesh is responsible for sales in KwaZulu Natal
